Spring Clinic - 11th Annual Elite Development Program
The Hitmen Junior Hockey Association's 2012 Elite Development Program is open to all players regardless of the association that you played for last season.
The Team Houston Spring Development Program is a series of clinics that focus on individual skills (power skating, stick handling, shooting, scoring strategies, body checking, and face offs), and team skills (offensive and defensive strategies, power plays, penalty killing and team building).
Our weekly clinics sessions are intense and our players and coaching staff work very hard. Our Clinics have been proven to not only improve our player’s skill level and speed of play, but also to improve their confidence. With proper skills and confidence, your player can succeed in any system.
This year’s six week program begins April 17th and ends on May 24th. Two sessions are held each week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Time schedules have been posted under our spring clinic tab. You can also click here for the schedule.
In addition to our team of highly committed Hitmen instructors, our clinic coaching staff will include former NHL Florida Panther player Joey Tetarenko, and our own Hitmen Alumni, and former AAA Honeybaked & AAA Little Caesars and Alberta Junior League All-Star Bobby Tyson. MIDGET MAJOR WINS 2011 FALL ROUND UP TOURNAMENT
The Hitmen Midget Major team won their second tournament of the year, capturing the Silver Division championship of the 2011 Fall Roundup over Thanksgiving weekend. The team continued the strong play it has exhibited throughout the regular season by going 2-0-1 in the round robin portion of the tournament before facing the Dallas Stars Selects in the championship game. The team controlled the play in the championship game but was unable to pull away from the Stars and found themselves in a 2-2 tie late in the game before Team Captain Mike Mirabella found the back of the net for the game winner.
Congratulations to all of the players and coaches for their second consecutive tournament win of the season!!!

MIDGET MAJOR WINS LABOR DAY SHOOTOUT TOURNAMENT
Our Midget Major team captured the Gold Division championship of the Texas Shootout over the Labor Day Weekend. The team used balanced scoring, strong defense and excellent goal tending to sail through the round-robin portion of the tournament with a 4-0 record before facing the Dallas Stars Selects in the championship game. The team came out strong in the championship game building an early 3-0 lead and cruising to a 4-2 victory.
Congratulations to all the players and coaches!!!

The Hitmen Junior Hockey Association is pleased to announce the formation of the Team Houston Hockey Academy.
In partnership with Houston Indoor Sports, the Team Houston Academy has contracted the use of their state of the art In-Line Roller Hockey facility for supplemental summer and fall skill development.
The objective of the Academy is to leverage the overlapping benefits
of In-line hockey to improve conditioning, stick handling / puck control, passing, and play making skills in a non-checking environment. The Academy teams will use the facility for additional practice, intra-squad scrimmages, summer roller hockey tournament preparation, and to train for the regular season.
The program is being funded by the Hitmen Junior Hockey Association exclusively for the use of Hitmen Junior Hockey Association team members during the 2011 – 2012 season. Thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Association, the program is FREE for all Hitmen Junior Hockey Association players registered on one of the Association’s teams for the upcoming 2011-2012 season.
